Report: Deal off – Club pull plug on transfer

With just hours left until the 5 pm transfer deadline, reports suggest that Tottenham are frantically racing against the clock to add to their squad.

While deals for Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon are close to being confirmed (The Telegraph), there have been contrasting reports emerging regarding Tottenham’s chase for Paulo Dybala over the last couple of days.

However, now the BBC have now delivered an update that will leave Tottenham fans extremely disjointed. They report that the deal is now off as Juventus have decided to pull the plug on the deal.

It is claimed that the Serie A club changed their mind and decided not to sell the striker this summer. This will come as a major blow to Spurs as some fans were hoping and praying that the club could get the Dybala deal over the line.

Even if the Dybala deal does not materialise, Tottenham would have still had a really good window if they complete the acquisitions of Sessegnon and Lo Celso. Given that there are only a few hours left, the club is unlikely to have enough time to shift their focus to other targets.
