Report: Defender Conte allegedly wanted at Spurs has now decided his future

Gleison Bremer has decided to join Inter Milan, which would spell an end to Tottenham’s hopes of signing the defender, according to CalcioMercato.

Bremer has been one of the standout players in Serie A this term which has led the Nerazzurri to keep firm tabs on the Brazilian centre-back.

Although the 24-year-old has another year remaining on his contract having extended just this month, that has not fazed Inter who are now confident of luring him out of Turin (Corriere dello Sport).

CalcioMercato now report Bremer has accepted a move to title challengers Inter and has received assurances from Torino that they will not demand unrealistic fees which could scupper his sale this summer.

The decision comes after Tottenham allegedly held an interest Bremer with Antonio Conte naming the defender as a target to bolster his back line (TuttoSport).

Bremer has been a fixture in the Torino fold this term, making 23 appearances for the club which is sitting 10th in the table (Transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion

Bremer has been one of the better defenders in Italy this season and it is pretty obvious to see why the top clubs has swooped in.

Inter have plenty of defensive options to choose from but they clearly want to cement their status as one of Serie A’s top sides with his potential acquisition this summer.
