Report: Dele Alli development revealed as player set to be left at home tomorrow

Tottenham Hotspur are set to take on Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the Europa League tomorrow night as they look to progress one step closer towards the group stages.

The Lilywhites must navigate three separate qualifier matches before making it into the competition this season.

Jose Mourinho’s men got off to the worst possible start at the weekend as they lost their Premier League opener against Everton in North London.

The Special One decided to take Dele Alli off at half-time in order to kick-start a more positive performance, but Spurs fell flat against the Toffees, eventually losing 1-0.

Despite Dele getting more of a rest than most ahead of the Thursday evening fixture, Football Insider have now reported that the Englishman will be left at home.

Mourinho revealed today that eight first-team players would be left back at Hotspur Way while the squad travelled to Bulgaria and, if the report is to be believed, Dele will be among those who miss out and will instead be told to focus on his fitness.
