Report: Dele Alli finds out how many games he will miss after FA misconduct charge

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Dele Alli has been suspended for one first-team competitive fixture with immediate effect and fined £50,000 after being hit with an FA misconduct charge in February.

This means that Dele will now have to sit out Tottenham’s all-important game against Manchester United next Friday on the club’s Premier League return.

The midfielder posted a video on his Snapchat account back in February in which he mocked a man of Asian appearance amidst the coronavirus outbreak (Daily Star).

The 24-year-old was charged by the FA with discrimination and bringing the game into disrepute (Sky Sports) but the hearing was postponed due to the pandemic.

After an Independent Regulatory Hearing, it has now been decided that the Spurs star will serve a one-match ban. He will additionally complete a face-to-face education course on the back of breaching FA Rule E3.

This is a big blow for us ahead of the six-pointer against Manchester United but something that was not unexpected. Hopefully, Jose has planned for how he would set the team up without Dele. I would not be surprised to see Ndombele starting in the number 10 role.
