Report: Departed Spurs man offered to Serie A club

Danny Rose, whose contract with Tottenham ran out last month, has been offered to Bologna, according to TuttoBolognaWeb.

Rose would have hoped for his Tottenham career to end under better circumstances than it did, with the defender being frozen out of the first-team picture last season.

The full-back has been a fantastic servant to the club since arriving from Leeds United as a teenager back in 2007.

In an emotional farewell interview to Spurs TV, Rose admitted that he was thrilled with the decision he made to come to Tottenham all those years ago and thanked the fans for sticking with him through thick and thin.

It remains to be seen what is next for the departed Spurs man but at 30 years of age, he could still have a few years of top-flight football left in him.

If TuttoBolognaWeb are to be beleived, a move to Italy could be on the cards for Rose, with the experienced defender being offered to Bologna.

However, the report adds that the Serie A club are prioritising signing a centre-back and a centre-forward this summer and are not completely convinced about the England international.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Rose can stay fit and focus on his football, he could still be a valuable addition to several Premier League sides. I would be surprised if he does not find a club in England this summer, particularly given that he is available for free.
