Report: Details emerge as Spurs keep Bayern Munich in the dark on Harry Kane price

90 min have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have not yet communicated any price tag to Bayern Munich regarding Harry Kane.

Talks between Bayern and Spurs for Kane have been ongoing for a few weeks, with the German club’s CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen even alleged to have met with Daniel Levy in London last Thursday (Sky Sports).

Earlier this week, The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare revealed that the feeling in the industry is that Tottenham will not risk allowing the striker to leave on a free transfer next summer.

The journalist explained that if the 29-year-old does not commit to a new deal right now, Spurs will want to sell him to Bayern for a hefty fee.

It was subsequently reported by The Times on Thursday that Kane has no intention of putting pen to paper on a new contract as the England captain is keen on making the switch to the Allianz Arena.

Tottenham have still not put a price on Harry Kane

However, if 90 min’s latest update is to be believed, Tottenham are yet to give any encouragement to Bayern about bidding for their star striker.

The publication asserts that Levy and the Spurs hierarchy are yet to even put a price tag on Kane despite the German club’s continued interest.

Not putting a price tag on Kane is a clear negotiating strategy from Levy as he is aware that the fee can increase if PSG enter the equation and turn it into a bidding war.

So, there is no reason for the Tottenham chairman to put an upper limit on the fee. Having said that, one would think that an offer of around £90m plus add-ons would be difficult for the North London club to turn down.
