Report: Details emerge as Spurs set for key meeting with Roma tomorrow

Alfredo Pedulla has reported that there will be a key meeting tomorrow between Tottenham and Roma to discuss a potential Nicolo Zaniolo deal.

The journalist claims that Spurs are interested in signing the 23-year-old winger regardless of the future of Antonio Conte in North London. However, despite the two clubs being in talks, there has been no agreement as of yet.

This comes after Fabrizio Romano reported that Tottenham had submitted a loan-to-buy offer for Zaniolo, which included an option to sign him permanently. However, Roma prefer a guaranteed fee in the form of a normal transfer or obligation to buy for €35m to €40m.

Football Insider claim that Spurs have attempted to sweeten the deal by offering Roma one of three players in exchange, with one of those said to be young Bryan Gil.

Sky Italia originally claimed that Spurs were the only team to make a move for Zaniolo in January, while Alfredo Pedulla added in a previous report on his website that Spurs were in pole position.

Now the journalist claims tomorrow could be a key day in the future of any potential deal as Spurs and Roma are set to sit down for more talks.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I am predicting that this deal will be done on the final day. Zaniolo will join on loan with a decent initial fee of around £10m, then Spurs will have an option to sign him for a further £15m or so, which will become an obligation if they get Champions League.
