Report: Door could open for Spurs as club are now ready to sacrifice 20-year-old

According to the print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness), Juventus could be prepared to offload Samuel Iling-Junior in the summer, with Tottenham now continuing to circle over the winger.

It was widely reported in the lead-up to the January window that Tottenham were keeping a close eye on Iling-Junior (Fichajes) but the North London club never made a move for the Englishman, securing the services of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig instead.

It has now emerged that the Chelsea academy graduate could be on his way out of Turin at the end of the season.

Tottenham could have a chance to sign Iling-Junior

This is the information that Gazzetta have put forward, stating that the 20-year-old’s development at the Allianz Stadium has now ‘slowed down’.

The report goes on to add that Juve have been ‘disappointed’ by Iling-Junior this season, with the youngster looking like ‘a fish out of water’ in Massimiliano Allegri’s system.

The publication suggests that the door could thus open again for Tottenham to sign the England Under-21 international, who now looks set to end up on the shop window.

Spurs Web Opinion

Irrespective of whether Tottenham take up the option to sign Werner permanently, it is likely that Postecoglou will want to add one more wide forward to his squad.

The club’s rumoured interest in Raphinha suggests that the Australian wants a left-footed wide player to challenge Dejan Kulusevski, with Iling-Junior fitting the bill.
