Report: Double boost for Spurs as two players return to training

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a huge boost ahead of their return after the international break, as summer signings Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon are back in first-team training (Evening Standard).

The pair joined up with a sparse squad over the international break, however the game on Saturday against Watford will most likely come too soon for both.

Ryan Sessegnon is yet to feature for Pochettino since joining from Fulham in the summer and Giovani Lo Celso has made just three substitute appearances after joining on loan from Real Betis on the same day as Sessegnon (Sky Sports).

Tottenham are aiming to get back on track in the Premier League after a rocky start, and will be hoping for a strong performance when they welcome Watford to their impressive stadium this weekend.

It is an incredibly important match, with tough away trips to Liverpool and then Everton immediately afterwards, as well as a Champions League affair against Red Star Belgrade.

Spurs Web Opinion

The return of both Lo Celso and Sessegnon is a massive positive for Tottenham. Those fresh faces are what’s needed in this side because it has become too stale recently. Having the two deadline day signings coming into the starting eleven will officially signal the beginning of a rebuild which is now so dearly needed and probably should have started a few months ago. Sessegnon and Lo Celso, when fit, could be what turns Spurs’ fortunes around. Let’s just hope it isn’t too long before they can feature.
