Corriere dello Sport have now reported that Tottenham’s sale of Serge Aurier to AC Milan is down to just the ‘details’ stage (via Sport Witness).
The Serie A club have apparently decided that Aurier is the best player to solve their right-back problems and the man himself is seeking a new adventure.
The report added that Milan were set for talks with Aurier’s agents this week in order to understand whether Tottenham had come down from their €22-23m asking price. It is also claimed that Aurier’s relationship with Jose Mourinho is ‘not idyllic’.
This news comes just days after the same publication reported that AC Milan were ready to open negotiations with Tottenham over an Aurier transfer. This report also claimed that Aurier had told his agent to get a deal done this summer (as relayed by Sport Witness).
However, the Evening Standard have reiterated that the clubs have been struggling to come to an agreement on the price.
