Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly working on establishing a relationship with Standard Liege as a feeder club, according to Belgian news outlet Walfoot.
ENIC are said to be in talks to take over the Belgian side who are currently in twelfth position in their domestic top flight after ten games.
The report claims that Liege chairman Bruno Venanzi is ready to sell his shares in the club and is suggested to have travelled to London last week to hold talks about the change of ownership, with ENIC labelled as front runners.
ENIC Sports and Development Holdings Limited own 85.55% of Tottenham, with chairman Daniel Levy and members of his family are potential beneficiaries of a discretionary trust which ultimately owns 29.4% of the share capital, while Joe Lewis has has an interest of 70.6%.
Super-agent Pini Zahavi is named as the person who is the man at the centre of the possible deal which would see players heading in both directions to make the most out of each club’s respective resources.
