Various reports have claimed this evening that Tottenham’s Erik Lamela is now in Spain ahead of his move to Sevilla.
It has been reported that the Argentine was spotted at the Sevilla training ground for his medical as he nears a North London exit.
20-year-old Bryan Gil is said to be moving in the opposite direction as a part of the deal, with Spurs also paying £21m on top of Lamela’s transfer.
Both El Desmarque and ABC have reported that the Spurs winger is Spain, with the former showing a video of him being driven to the club stadium and the latter saying he had checked into a nearby hotel (as relayed by the Daily Mail).
Both publications have claimed that the move will be officially announced by the clubs tomorrow (Monday), with Lamela joining Sevilla’s pre-season training camp in Portugal and Gil coming to Spurs after he finishes his Olympic duties in Tokyo.
Spurs Web Opinion:
This is a great deal for all involved. Lamela gets his last big move, Sevilla get a great player, Spurs get an up-and-coming starlet, as well as Lamela off their books, and Gil gets a chance to shine in the Premier League. Exciting stuff.
