Report: Eriksen clears out his belongings at Tottenham’s Hotspur Way training ground

Christian Eriksen’s prolonged move to Inter Milan looks to be edging ever closer ahead of the transfer window closing on Friday.

David Ornstein of The Athletic claims that the move will be confirmed in the coming days with the Dane having said to have visited Tottenham’s Hotspur Way training ground yesterday to clear out his personal belongings and will later today fly to Milan to finalise his move to the Serie A giants.

Eriksen travelled with the rest of the Spurs squad for Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round tie at Southampton but was not named in Jose Mourinho’s final 18.

According to the report, the 27-year-old will have say goodbye to his team-mates over the phone after the players were given a day off yesterday following the 1-1 draw at St Mary’s.

Daniel Levy demanded that Inter paid the £20million which he valued Eriksen at with £2million of the fee going to his former club Ajax.

Eriksen was due to be out of contract in the summer, with the current transfer window representing the club’s last opportunity to recoup a transfer fee.
