Report: European club are about to sign Dele Alli on loan with option to buy

A Spor have reported that Besiktas are about to sign Dele Alli from Everton on a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent.

The report even claims that Dele has spoken to his former Spurs teammates, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Gedson Fernandes, about the potential move, both of whom now also ply their trade for Besiktas.

Fabrizio Romano has backed up this report, claiming that Dele sees game time as a priority this season, with Everton leaving it up to the player to decide. The journalist claims a loan and a permanent deal are both still being discussed.

This comes just six months after Dele parted ways with Tottenham in the January transfer window, with The Sun recently detailing that Everton owe the Lilywhites £10m if Alli makes 20 appearances which could rise to £40m depending on other potential add-ons.

Dele has made 13 appearances for Everton without scoring or assisting, compared to his 67 goals and 61 assists in 269 appearances for Tottenham (TransferMarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion:

It’s sad to see the continuation of Dele’s downfall. I was hoping to see him make a move this summer to a relatively big club in one of the other top five European leagues. A move to Besiktas just feels like the beginning of the end for the former Spurs man.
