Report: European club make ‘shock’ move for out-of-work Mauricio Pochettino

Ex-Tottenham Hotspur boss, Mauricio Pochettino, has been out of work for over a month now since he was sacked by Daniel Levy and the Spurs board in North London.

Since then, Jose Mourinho has come in to steady the ship for Spurs, making a largely positive start to life as head coach, albeit with losses against both Man United and Chelsea.

However, could Poch soon make a return to management? A report has now revealed that one club already made a move for the Argentine shortly after he was sacked by Spurs.

AS claim that Poch has decided to take a break for at least a few months after five and a half years in charge of Tottenham.

However, the report also adds that Real Betis were interested in hiring the Argentine, even making an offer to the man himself, which Poch turned down in favour of a break. Sport Witness labelled this as a shock move.

Who knows, if Poch took that job and Spurs chose not to permanently buy Giovani Lo Celso, the two could have been reunited.
