Report: European club open talks to sign Spurs-linked Malinovskyi

Journalist Rudy Galetti has said on his official website that Tottenham target Ruslan Malinovskyi could be on his way to Inter Milan in January.

Malinovskyi was linked heavily with a move to Spurs in the summer (TMW) and over recent weeks, reports have backed the North London club to reignite their interest in the Ukrainian in January.

Calciomercato reported last week that Tottenham have already made contact with Atalanta over a deal for the attacking midfielder in January.

The report added that Malinovskyi will be allowed to leave Atalanta but Gian Piero Gasperini’s side would demand a fee of around €30m (£26.1m) for the 29-year-old.

Galetti has now revealed that the midfielder is ‘destined’ to leave Bergamo in January after falling down the pecking order this season.

However, the journalist claimed that despite being linked with a move to Spurs, Malinovskyi is expected to remain in the Serie A.

Galetti suggested that the former Genk man could be bound for the San Siro as Inter have already started talks over a deal to snap up the player.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe that Malinovskyi would be a decent replacement for Bryan Gil if the winger is loaned out as the Ukrainian can be deployed wide on the right or in the middle of the park if Conte uses a 3-5-2.

However, I do not think Conte or Paratici are particularly convinced about the Atalanta star. If they were really keen on the 29-year-old, Spurs would have likely snapped him up in the summer.
