Report: European giant decide against move for Tottenham player

Serge Aurier has yet to feature for Tottenham Hotspur this season in the opening three fixtures of the Premier League season.

Mauricio Pochettino has instead put his faith in Kyle Walker-Peters to fill the void of Kieran Trippier.

However, with Walker-Peters forced off with a hamstring injury during the second half of the 1-0 defeat against Newcastle United it remains to be seen who will operate at right-back in the North London derby on Sunday.

Aurier’s future at Tottenham has been the subject of some speculation and it looks as if a return to PSG is off the cards.

Le10Sport report that sporting director Leonard has mulled over making a move for the Ivory Coast international but has now decided against the switch.

He also did not feature in pre-season due to his involvement in the African Cup of Nations and had to go hand surgery in July after picking up the injury on international duty (Spurs official).

Opinion

It would be a surprise to see Aurier play against Arsenal on Sunday considering he has no match fitness under his belt, instead Moussa Sissoko seems a more likely candidate if Walker-Peters is ruled out.
