Report: European giant linked with move for out of favour Spurs star

Jose Mourinho arrived in North London to take over from Mauricio Pochettino as head coach of Tottenham Hotspur in late November.

A little over two months later, he decided to send Danny Rose out on loan to Newcastle United for the remainder of the campaign.

The Daily Mail reported in January that the left-back had been involved in a training ground bust up with Mourinho with the England international demanding to know why he had been left out of the 1-1 draw at Watford a day earlier.

Mourinho denied the speculation of a rift with Rose, but the player was still shipped off to St James’ Park (Jonathan Veal).

Football Insider claim that Paris Saint-German are considering making a summer move for the 29-year-old.

The French giants have reportedly been monitoring his situation since joining the Magpies with scouts sent to cast an eye over him and have added the former Leeds player to a shortlist of left-backs, which is an area that they are looking to strengthen.

Rose is out of contract in the summer of 2021 and has previously claimed that chairman Daniel Levy has told him that he will not be offered a new deal (Telegraph).
