Report: European giant make enquiry to take Spurs’ £25m signing on loan

Ajax have earmarked Ryan Sessegnon as one of their main transfer targets ahead of the new campaign.

The 20-year-old moved to Tottenham from Fulham last summer for an initial £25million fee and has experienced a frustrating first season in North London (Guardian).

The left-sided player picked up a hamstring injury while on international duty with England’s Under-21 side and missed the first three months of the new season.

He only managed to make twelve appearances in all competitions and was not used in any of the matches following the resumption of the season due to the coronavirus pandemic (transfermarkt).

The Telegraph claim that the Dutch giants have already made enquiries over whether Sessegnon will be made available for loan next season as they look to fill the void left by Hakim Ziyech following his move to Chelsea and would look to use the Tottenham player in an attacking role.

Mourinho and his backroom staff are reported to hold Sessegnon in high regard and will Sessegnon and will soon make a decision on his future with his former club Fulham also keen to take him back to Craven Cottage on loan.
