Report: European giants are hoping for a bidding war for 22-year-old star

Tottenham Hotspur will surely be in the market for a number of players this summer, as they have failed to bring in a new face for the last 15 months.

One player Spurs have been linked with for some time is now-Barcelona winger Malcom, although Tottenham were said to be keen in his Bordeaux days too (talkSPORT).

Reports suggest that Malcom is up for sale this summer, with Barca looking to get back the majority of the £35m they spent on the winger (Daily Mail).

While Tottenham already boats players like Heung Min Son and Lucas Moura on the wing, they may look to add one more to strengthen their squad.

The Spanish news outlet, Sport, now claim that Borussia Dortmund are also keen on signing Malcom this summer. The report adds that Barca are hoping Arsenal and Spurs reignite their interest in the Brazilian to start a bidding war.

The Sun suggest that the two North London sides are both still keen, although the newspaper quotes a staggering £60m for him.

Spurs Web Opinion:

The Sun quoting £60m for Malcom is just ridiculous. I would be hesitant about paying £30m for him. Purchasing a player who has just flopped at a big club is always a risk, and I would rather Spurs look elsewhere unless they can get him on the cheap. There are plenty of other players for the £30m mark who could improve the Spurs squad, including Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser who also boasts Prem experience and top recent form.
