Report: European giants could return for Spurs star in the summer

According to a report by EuroSport, Paris Saint-Germain could make another attempt to land Dele Alli when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

Alli was heavily linked with a loan switch to PSG throughout January but the move did not materialise with Spurs reportedly deciding to pull the plug on the deal since they could not bring in a replacement.

Jose Mourinho has said that the 24-year-old could be an important player for the Spurs side if he regains his best form.

Since returning from his injury, Alli has come on as a second-half substitute in the last two Premier League games and also played more than 70 minutes against Wolfsberger in the Europa League last Thursday.

It remains to be seen if Alli can break into Tottenham’s starting eleven but if Eurosport is to be believed, the prospect of reuniting with Mauricio Pochettino in Paris remains on the cards for the midfielder.

The report suggests that the England international is still on PSG’s radar and that the French club will try again to lure hum at the end of the season.

It is not mentioned if the Ligue 1 giants would be looking at another loan deal or if they are plotting a permanent move for the Tottenham star.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Mourinho is still in charge at Spurs in the summer and Alli continues to struggle for game time, then one would expect the midfielder to push for a move. However, Daniel Levy is likely to demand a significant transfer fee for the 24-year-old and it remains to be seen if PSG or any other club would be willing to meet it.
