According to Le Parisien, Paris Saint-Germain could put alleged Tottenham target, Renato Sanches, on the shop window this summer.
Sanches has failed to have the expected impact since his move from Lille last summer, having made just three starts for the Parisians so far this season (Transfermarkt).
It was reported by 90 min a couple of weeks ago that Spurs are exploring a summer move for the 25-year-old, with the North London club allegedly asking to be kept informed of the player’s situation.
The report revealed that the Lilywhites were far from alone in their interest in the midfielder, and could potentially face competition from the likes of Aston Villa, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Wolves for the player’s services.
Le Parisien have now suggested that Sanches could be axed by PSG this summer as Christophe Galtier plans to trim his squad.
The publication adds that the Portugal international is expected to be one of the victims of the overhaul as there is plenty of interest in the 25-year-old’s services.
It is asserted that the Parisians might even be prepared to accept a fairly low transfer fee for Sanches.
Spurs Web Opinion
Tottenham certainly need reinforcements in the middle of the park this summer, especially since Bentancur might not recover in time for the start of the season.
However, one would expect the Lilywhites to be aiming far higher than Sanches, whose career has flattered to deceive over the last couple of years.
