Report: European giants emerge as possible destination for Hugo Lloris

Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed that Hugo Lloris has emerged as a target for Inter Milan in light of Guglielmo Vicario’s arrival at Tottenham.

The writing now looks on the wall for Lloris at Spurs, with Vicario being officially announced after Tottenham reportedly agreed to a €19m (£16.2m)  deal with Empoli for the goalkeeper (Football.London).

It was reported by 90 min last week that one of the reasons that Spurs moved swiftly to wrap up a deal for the Italian was due to fears that Inter would make a move for the 26-year-old once Andre Onana seals an exit.

Gazzetta now suggests that the Nerazzurri are now looking at other options to replace the Cameroonian if and when he completes a switch to Manchester United.

It is asserted that Lloris is an option that appeals to the Serie A club, given the Frenchman’s vast experience and with his days at Tottenham now seemingly numbered.

However, the publication adds that the Spurs captain is not the only name on the wishlist of Simone Inzaghi’s men with Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer and Paris Saint-Germain’s Keylor Navas also on the club’s radar.

I suspect Hugo’s preference would be to return to France and potentially even his hometown club, Nice.

However, perhaps the chance to taste Champions League football with Inter for one last time would be quite tempting for the 36-year-old goalkeeper.
