Report: European giants have eye on Spurs superstar as possible future target

Kicker have reported that Bayern Munich are interested in Harry Kane as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski up front.

While it is said a deal for the Tottenham striker would be difficult, maybe even impossible, this summer, they see him as a conceivable future option with his contract running out in 2024.

Christian Falk from SportBILD took to Twitter in response to the reports and claimed that Harry Kane is ‘not a topic’ for Bayern this summer.

This comes after Alfredo Pedulla also reported back in June that the German giants were eyeing a move for the England captain.

Barcelona are currently pushing to sign Lewandowski from Bayern, and the Bundesliga club may therefore be forced to find a suitable replacement to lead their line (Sky Sports).

Harry Kane’s 247 goals in 385 appearances for Tottenham naturally stand out in the striker market (TransferMarkt) although the Lilywhites are said to be hoping to discuss a potential new contract with their academy graduate (The Evening Standard).

Spurs Web Opinion:

Kane makes perfect sense for Bayern Munich as Lewandowski’s replacement. Unfortunately for them, I doubt he has any interest in leaving the Premier League and the German club would not be able to match the fee Daniel Levy would demand.
