Report: European giants identify in-form Spurs star as summer transfer target

According to a report by Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Paris Saint-Germain have identified Tottenham forward Son Heung-min as the man to replace Neymar if he leaves next year.

The report claims that Neymar is set to quit PSG next summer and move back to Spain with both Real Madrid and his former club Barcelona said to be interested in signing him.

Son has been in terrific form for Spurs and committed his future to the club last year, penning a new contract that runs until 2023 (Spurs official).

However, the report claims that PSG are confident they can attract the South Korean international despite him being seemingly settled at Spurs.

The report says the 27-year-old Spurs star is valued at €80 million and that the French giants believe that he will be a safe bet to succeed at the club given his age and career trajectory so far.

This has zero chance of happening unless Son himself puts in a transfer request. That doesn’t seem likely as he seems quite happy to be at Spurs. Even if Son himself demanded to leave, there is no chance that Levy will consider selling him for as little as €80 million, particularly given how valuable he is to the club commercially.
