Report: European giants keen to take Spurs midfielder on loan

The saga over Tanguy Ndombele’s future has now taken another twist after reports in France suggested that the Paris Saint-Germain have now registered their interest in the midfielder.

While some reports have said that Tottenham are open to selling Ndombele this summer (Times), others have claimed that the club have no such intention (Mirror).

Barcelona who were thought to be the front runners for the 23-year-old’s signature with the possibility of various swap deals being speculated by the media (Mundo Deportivo and Sky Sports).

Le10 Sport now claim that PSG are interested in taking the Spurs star back to Ligue 1.

The report suggests that while Jose Mourinho is counting on the midfielder next season, Tottenham will allow him to leave if they receive an offer of €60million this summer.

However, the report also adds that PSG are unlikely to be able to afford a permanent deal for Ndombele this summer and would instead prefer to take the French international on loan.

This report doesn’t make much sense unless the proposed loan deal comes with an obligation to buy at the end of next season. I can’t see Ndombele going anywhere this summer but it is clear that the next few months will be make or break for the midfielder in North London. If he continues to suffer from fitness/injury issues, the club might decide to cut their losses on him in January.
