Report: European giants lining up move for Tottenham star before window closes

Tottenham Hotspur’s squad for the 2019/20 season is still up in the air, as there may yet be multiple incomings and outgoings before the first match is played.

One man whose future is still uncertain is Christian Eriksen, after the Great Dane revealed his desire to leave the club after the Champions League final loss (Ekstra Bladet).

He stated that he wanted a new challenge and a step up, but would consider a new contract if no big clubs came in a made offers for him.

Unfortunately for Eriksen, none of Europe’s elite seem keen on shelling out the money for him, with no concrete reported bids over this transfer window.

Whether the Danish playmaker will sign a new contract or leave on a free in 2020 is another question though. Spurs have reportedly offered him a new £200,000 a week deal, a full £120,000 more than he is on now (Daily Mail).

However, Eriksen may still be in luck, as Juventus are said to be lining up a potential move for the attacking midfielder, with their eyes also on Isco, Nicolo Zaniolo, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Sun).
