Report: European giants make contact with ex-Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino

Spanish outlet, El Transistor (as relayed by The Sun) have claimed that Real Madrid have now made contact with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

It is said that Los Blancos are looking to line up a replacement for Zinedine Zidane in Madrid as the club’s struggles continue.

While the report claims that Zidane’s achievements with Real Madrid will save him from being sacked, some fear that the French legend may walk as he did in 2018.

Mauricio Pochettino has been out of work for almost one year after being sacked by Daniel Levy and Tottenham back in November 2019.

The club replaced the Argentine with Jose Mourinho within 24 hours and have since been undergoing a rebuilt in North London.

Pochettino has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, should the Red Devils part ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the near future (Mirror).

However, the former Spurs boss did mention last year that he would like to manage Madrid at some point in his career (Sun).
