Report: European giants set to offer Pochettino wages higher than every player bar one

Tottenham Hotspur are on the cusp of achieving something monumental in the game of football, securing a Champions League trophy without spending a single penny on new players in a season.

Spurs last dipped into the transfer market back in January 2018, but have still managed to secure a top-four spot in the Premier League and defeat opposition such as Borussia Dortmund, Man City, and Ajax to reach their first ever CL final.

Tottenham will take on Liverpool in Madrid on June 1 for the right to lift the iconic trophy.

However, some reports this week have claimed that Pochettino may not be at the club next season to celebrate the win if it is achieved.

Poch has been linked with a move to Italian giants Juventus, with Allegri set to leave at the end of the season (Daily Mail).

Even Pochettino’s own cousin has fed fuel to the flames by saying the move is a possibility (Tutto Juve).

Tuttomercatoweb have now added that Pochettino may be offered a crazy 12 million Euros a year for three years by Juventus, a fee that would apparently put him behind only Ronaldo at the club.

The Telegraph reported in 2018 that Pochettino is on £8.5m a year at Spurs, or 9.7 million Euros.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Let’s be honest, if Pochettino is on £8.5m a year at Spurs, I’m sure he isn’t struggling. The Argentine is paid a lot of money, and is worth every penny at the moment. Spurs and Poch should see it as a compliment to what they are doing and achieving that so many big European teams are linked with him. However, Pochettino is in the middle of a job at Tottenham, and I can’t see him leaving for any team for a good couple of years. Even then, I don’t see Juventus coming in ahead of Real Madrid or PSG.
