Report: Everton open talks with striker linked with Spurs switch

Everton have opened preliminary talks to sign Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, according to reports from Italy.

Area Napoli claim that Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen to reunite with the Polish striker after managing him during his time at the Serie A side.

Milik is also said to be on the radar of North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, according to CalcioNapoli24.

The 26-year-old is expected to leave Napoli this summer if they agree a new deal with star striker Dries Mertens.

Everton are willing to offer as much as £31million to sign the Polish international which is considerably below Napoli’s asking price £44million.

Milikhas scored 12 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions for Napoli this season (transfermarkt).

Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho was in the market for a new striker during the January transfer window but came up empty handed in his quest to help fill the void left by Harry Kane’s injury (Evening Standard).
