Report: Ex-Man Utd star set to visit Conte at Spurs over potential shock PL return

According to Corriere dello Sport (as relayed by The Sun), Carlos Tevez is set to visit Tottenham’s training ground to explore a potential shock return to the Premier League.

Tevez featured for West Ham, Manchester United and Manchester City during his seven-year stint in the Premier League before moving to Juventus where he worked under Antonio Conte.

The striker won the Premier League title twice with United and once with their cross-city rivals.

The Argentine has not played competitively since parting ways with Boca Juniors last year but he is yet to officially announce his retirement from football.

Corriere explain that while MLS clubs are showing interest in Tevez, the striker could now be set for a shock return to Europe.

The 38-year-old is said to have visited the headquarters of Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan recently.

The former Man City star is now expected to meet with Conte and his coaching staff at Hotspur Way over a potential shock move to the Lilywhites.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not think Conte would consider signing a 38-year-old, who has been out of the game for the last 12 months. The meeting might have something to do with the Italian helping Tevez get an insight into coaching at the top level, given the pair’s relationship from their Juve days.
