Report: Ex-Spurs player set to begin training with bitter North London rivals Arsenal

Few players have bridged the gap between Arsenal and Spurs in the modern era of Premier League football, such is the bitter rivalry between the two North London sides.

The infamous Sol Campbell is still widely detested across the Lilywhite side of the divide for leaving Tottenham on a free to join Arsenal, often labelled as ‘Judas’.

More recently, the likes of Adebayor and Gallas joined Spurs after having played for their North London rivals first, moves that were not thanked by the Arsenal faithful.

However, playing for both clubs at youth level often goes unnoticed, which may be the case for ex-Spurs forward Tyger Smalls.

The Telegraph report that the non-league attacker is being given a chance to impress at Arsenal in the academy system. They will allow him to train with them before making a decision on whether to offer a contract.

The 17-year-old was previously in the youth set-up at Tottenham, but left the club and recently netted 15 goals in 24 games for Haverhill Rovers (HITC).
