Report: Ex-Spurs star ‘agrees deal’ with Premier League rivals

Tottenham Hotspur have been left with just the one senior striker for the current Premier League season after Fernando Llorente left on a free back in June.

So far, the Spaniard has not signed a new deal anywhere, but the wait may soon be over for fans of the former World Cup winner.

A report from Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Llorente has actually agreed a two year deal with Man United to join this season.

The report adds that the deal is close to completion after United lost their main target man, Romelu Lukaku, earlier in the summer.

Llorente was an unlikely hero for Tottenham last season after Harry Kane picked up multiple ankle ligament injuries.

The Spaniard stepped into the first team and scored against Borussia Dortmund and Man City in the Champions League knockouts, as well as setting up Lucas Moura’s 96th-minute winner against Ajax in the semis.

How would you feel about seeing Llorente join United?
