Ben Jacobs has written in his column for CaughtOffside that Son Heung-min is on a list of targets that the Saudi Pro League clubs have drawn up for next summer.
Son is currently in Qatar, leading South Korea in their Asian Cup campaign, and it has now emerged that efforts will be made to bring the Tottenham superstar to the Middle East permanently next summer.
Jacobs explained that Saudi clubs, who had a total budget of £750m to spend on new recruits last summer, will have a whopping £2 billion to spend at the end of this season on transfer fees, wages and agent costs.

Saudi Arabian clubs will push for Heung-min Son from Spurs
They are expected to target several superstars from the Premier League and around Europe, including Son, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
Jacobs points out that Saudi clubs failed with a move for the Tottenham captain last summer and he has since remained on their wishlist. However, the journalist adds that the 31-year-old will be a ‘very tough target to secure’ next summer.
This report comes on the back of several updates by various outlets over the last few weeks suggesting that Tottenham are ready to offer Son a new long-term deal (Football Insider).

I do not think Son would want to move to the Middle East at this stage of his career but the Saudi clubs are capable of throwing life-changing money at the South Korean, which could turn his head. That is why Tottenham will be keen to tie him down to a new deal before next summer.
