Report explains decision Spurs are now expected to make on Conte’s future

The Telegraph have reported that Daniel Levy is continuing to weigh up on whether to sack Antonio Conte or not ahead of Tottenham’s return to action next week.

It is said that even the first-team players are in the dark about their head coach’s future.

However, The Telegraph understand that an exit will still be agreed between Spurs and Conte, despite things seeming unclear on the surface.

Spurs are reportedly interested in replacing Conte with Julian Nagelsmann after the German was given his marching orders by Bayern Munich this week.

Should this not be possible, then Levy may look at handing the job to Ryan Mason on a temporary basis, as he did following the sacking of Jose Mourinho back in 2021.

A number of the Tottenham players allegedly did not expect to see Conte when they return from international duty on Tuesday.

The Daily Mail have reported that Conte is in fact expected to return to Hotspur Way on the very same day, and the next 24 hours will be key to determining his future in North London.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It’s frustrating that Tottenham can never seem to make a clear and confident decision with a sense of authority.

These past few years have been filled with umming and ahhing, and is has cost Spurs on and off the pitch.
