Football Insider have revealed that Antonio Conte and his coaching staff do not have any concerns about Harry Kane’s state of mind and expect the striker to bounce back from England’s devastating loss against France.
The report reveals that Spurs have begun the process of ‘throwing a protective veil of support’ around the England captain after he missed the penalty that ultimately led to the Three Lions being eliminated from the World Cup.
It is explained that Conte and the other Spurs coaches have reached out to Kane with messages of support since Saturday.
Football Insider report that the striker will be given a week off before returning to Hotspur Way for training and there is no suggestion that the break will be extended to help the 29-year-old recover from the heartbreak.
Conte is said to be expecting Kane to take his place in Tottenham’s starting eleven for the club’s clash against Brentford on Boxing Day.
The report adds that everyone at Spurs is ‘confident’ that the striker can cope with the pain of Saturday as they believe his mental strength is one of his best qualities.

Had the same thing happened to someone like Son, I would be a lot more concerned, given that the South Korean is quite emotional and very much a confidence player.
Kane is the last person I would worry about being affected by Saturday’s incident and I am sure that the 29-year-old will be desperate to get back on to the pitch as soon as possible so that he can put the penalty miss behind him.
