Report explains how much Spurs right-back target Wilfried Singo could cost

According to a report in Tuttosport (14/12/22 as relayed by Sport Witness), Torino could sell Wilfried Singo for a cut-price deal amidst Tottenham’s interest in the right-back.

Multiple reports over the past few weeks have indicated that Antonio Conte is prioritising an upgrade in the right wing-back area when the transfer window opens in January (90 min).

Singo was rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar back in the summer, prior to the North London club’s acquisition of Djed Spence (Independent).

If TuttoSport’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs still have their eye on the 21-year-old, with the player said to be ‘really liked’ by Conte.

The publication explains that since the Ivorian’s current contract at the Stadio Olimpico Grande runs out in 2024, Torino have already started negotiating a contract renewal with the player.

However, TuttoSport add that the Serie A club are aware that ‘the right time’ to cash in on Singo ‘is coming’. The publication asserts that Ivan Juric’s men will ask for a fee of around €10m-€12m (£8.6m- £10.3m) for the right-back.

I do not believe that Singo would rank as high on Conte’s and Paratici’s wishlist as he did 12 months or 6 months ago as the Ivorian has flattered to deceive this campaign. I suspect the Tottenham head coach will want a relatively proven and experienced campaigner like Dumfries to replace Emerson.
