The Guardian have revealed that some Tottenham players would welcome Antonio Conte leaving the club immediately following his public outburst on Saturday.
Conte produced a jaw-dropping monologue following his side’s 3-3 draw against Southampton, accusing every single one of his players of being selfish and playing for themselves rather than the team (Football.London).
The Daily Mail revealed yesterday that the Tottenham head coach held crisis talks with the club following his outburst and that while Daniel Levy was initially planning on sticking with him until the end of the season, he might now reconsider his stance.
The report also suggested that a number of players at the club have grown irritated by the 53-year-old and believe that the negativity he conveys in public has affected the morale of the squad.
If the Guardian’s latest update is to be believed, some of the Tottenham players are of the opinion that Conte is “going or gone”, with the only question being the timing of his departure.
The publication adds that there are serious doubts over whether enough players are still behind the Italian and some of them would welcome him packing his bags immediately.

This is a completely natural response from the players after Conte absolved himself of blame and threw the squad under the bus.
The Italian’s repeated insistence on “spirit” and “fight” is clearly meant to take the focus away from his tactics, which are undoubtedly the biggest reason for our struggles this season.
