Eurosport have revealed that Harry Kane is set to reiterate his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer amidst Manchester City’s reported interest.
Kane fell agonisingly short of winning what would have been the first major trophy of his career when England were beaten by Italy on penalties in the European Championship final on Sunday.
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold claimed last week that Tottenham continue to maintain privately that they have no intention of selling the England captain this summer despite interest from Premier League rivals.
Gold also added that the club do not expect the 27-year-old to sulk if they do not allow him to leave.
Eurosport have now reported that Kane will let the Spurs hierarchy know again that he seeks a new challenge.
The report reveals that the striker is not due at the club until the final week of pre-season training but he will have conversations with Nuno Espirito Santo in the coming days about the Portuguese coach’s vision for the club.
It is asserted that despite Kane’s reservations about staying, Tottenham will let the striker know once again that they have no intention of selling him.
However, it is stated that Manchester City’s interest in the Spurs star is serious and that Pep Guardiola’s men may soon make an opening £100m offer.

£100m is not going to be anywhere near enough to tempt Levy to the negotiating table. It appears clear that City are relying on Kane pushing for a move and potentially bringing his price down. However, the 27-year-old is too much of a professional to force himself out of the club, which is why I expect him to stay for one more season.
