Report explains what Pochettino’s plans are regarding his next job amid Spurs links

Sky Sports have revealed that Mauricio Pochettino will assess his options during the summer before finalising which club he wants to manage next.

Amidst suggestions that Antonio Conte’s days at Tottenham are numbered, the possibility of the North London club re-appointing Pochettino is now being discussed by multiple outlets.

The Sun’s Shaun Custis revealed on talkSPORT on Monday that Pochettino is desperate to return to N17 and has been pushing to get the job back.

The journalist asserted, however, that Levy is reluctant to reappoint the Argentine as that would be an admission of his mistake in sacking him back in 2019.

Meanwhile, The Guardian reported yesterday that the former Spurs manager, as well as the others who are currently out of work such as Luis Enrique and Thomas Tuchel, would prefer to wait until pre-season to return to management.

Sky Sports have now claimed that Pochettino will assess all the offers that come his way at the end of the season before making a final decision.

The publication asserts that the 51-year-old is ready to return to the dugout and has already had several approaches over the last eight months but he did not feel any of them were the right fit for him.

Pochettino would understandably want to wait until the summer to see if there is an approach by Real Madrid as it has been well-documented that Fiorentino Perez is a fan of the Argentine.

It is also far from clear if the 51-year-old is at the top of Spurs’ wishlist as he is clearly far removed from the kind of managers Paratici has pursued in his time at the club so far.
