Report explains what some Spurs players expect Levy to do after Conte rant

The Sun have revealed that some Tottenham players expect Daniel Levy to sack Antonio Conte before the club take to the field against Everton after the international break.

The fallout from Conte’s spectacular public rant on Saturday is continuing to play out, with multiple outlets talking about the possibility of the Italian being sacked over the last 24 hours.

Football Insider reported on Sunday that Tottenham have already held internal discussions about parting ways with the Italian immediately and putting Ryan Mason in charge on an interim basis until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, The Guardian reported in the early hours of this morning that there are serious doubts over whether enough players are behind Conte and that some of them would welcome him going immediately.

The same information has now been backed up by The Sun, who assert that the Tottenham stars were left ‘stunned’ by the 53-year-old’s outburst following their 3-3 draw against Southampton.

The report states that some Spurs players would be happy to see Conte being axed during the international break and that there is a feeling among the squad that Levy could pull the plug on the project before the clash against Everton on April 3.

Spurs Web Opinion

I would be flabbergasted if Conte is still in charge for the Everton clash after the international break. The Italian has now clearly lost the dressing and his position is untenable.

It would be irresponsible to leave him in charge for even one more match. He clearly intended to be sacked with his outburst on Saturday, which was intended to mask his own failure.
