90 min have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur will reassess negotiations with Harry Kane over a new contract once they hire a head coach.

The speculation over Kane’s future continues to intensify ahead of the summer transfer window, with The Daily Mirror reporting last week that Daniel Levy is expected to demand over £100m for the striker even if he does not sign a new contract.

The publication claimed that Manchester United may have an advantage in the pursuit of the Tottenham man since Bayern Munich would not be prepared to pay such a fee.

However, this was contradicted by The Independent, who revealed on Thursday that Bayern are willing to test the waters with an offer for Kane as Levy remains adamant that he will not sell Spurs’ talisman to a Premier League rival.

90 min have now explained that while the England captain was previously open to penning a new contract at Spurs, he is not ready to commit now since the landscape has changed.

The report adds that Kane will ‘reassess his stance’ once Tottenham appoint a permanent successor to Antonio Conte.

It is explained that the Lilywhites hierarchy will ‘not push for a decision’ from the 29-year-old until they confirm a new head coach.

It would make no sense for Kane to sign a contract before Spurs confirm their next managerial appointment.

While Nagelsmann is understandably the club’s top target, I wonder if the Tottenham hierarchy would be forced to consider re-hiring Pochettino (if they cannot get the German) just so that they can hang on to their star striker.
