Report explains why Real Madrid may bin Eriksen pursuit

Reports in the press over the last week have claimed that Christian Eriksen has told new Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho that he has no intention of extending his stay at the club (the Sun).

El Desmarque reported around a week ago that the Danish international had already agreed on personal terms with Real Madrid and could either move to the Spanish giants for a cut-price deal in January or for free in the summer.

A report by El Espanol has claimed that Real Madrid are contemplating completely pulling the plug on the Eriksen deal.

The report claims that young midfielder Federico Valverde has impressed those within the La Liga outfit with his quality and will have a big part to play in Real Madrid’s first team next season.

Further the Spanish giants are also said to be convinced Martin Odegaard has a big future at the club and are unsure if they need another attack-minded midfielder.

Finally, the report also insists that Zinedine Zidane still favours a move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba over the Spurs star.

Spurs Web Opinion

Real Madrid’s apparent back and forth on Eriksen has been detrimental to the midfielder’s form this season as the Spanish giants are clearly the Dane’s preferred destination. I believe the club should do their best to get rid of Eriksen in January whether or not Madrid come in for him.
