Report: Fabio Paratici could look to bring 22-year-old to Spurs this summer

Calciomercato.it have named Tottenham Hotspur as one of the potential destinations for AS Roma winger Nicolo Zaniolo this summer.

Zaniolo has struggled to rediscover his old form this season after missing the majority of the last campaign due to an ACL injury.

However, the silky left-footer demonstrated his quality against Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt last week, netting a hat-trick to help Roma book a place in the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League.

It was reported last month that Spurs and Juventus both hold an interest in the Italy international ahead of the summer transfer window (Fichajes).

This has now been backed up by Calciomercato.it, who claim that Juve could look to replace Paulo Dybala with Zaniolo this summer.

The report adds that Fabio Paratici tried to take the Roma star to Turin during his time at Juve and the Italian could now try to bring the winger to North London.

It is said the Giallorossi value Zaniolo at around €40m-€50m (£33.2m-£41.5m) but the Serie A side are not thought to be in any hurry to cash in on the player.

Calicomercato.it state that Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and AC Milan could also enter the race for Zaniolo, while there is also still the possibility of the wide-man renewing his contract at the Stadio Olimpico.

Spurs Web Opinion

Just as with the Dybala move, I believe the chances of Spurs moving for Zaniolo have been rendered extremely slim, owing to the impact that Dejan Kulusevski has made since his move to the club. I believe Spurs are more likely to pursue a number nine who can serve as a backup to Kane.
