Football Insider have reported that Tottenham’s new Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, is now ‘pushing hard’ for Nuno Espirito Santo to become the club’s next boss.
The report claims that sources have informed Football Insider that Paratici is the ‘driving force’ behind Tottenham’s interest in the former Wolves manager.
Paratici apparently would consider it a ‘major coup’ if Tottenham were able to sign the currently out-of-work Portuguese coach this summer.
Nuno parted ways with Wolves by mutual consent at the end of the last campaign and is said to be highly in demand.
This would seemingly align with a report from the Daily Mail this evening that stated Paratici and Daniel Levy were both backing a move for Nuno as their new leading candidate.
This report also claimed that Nuno himself was attracted by the possibility of joining Tottenham this summer.
Spurs Web Opinion:
Nuno would not be my first choice. At that start of the summer, he wouldn’t have cracked the top four. However, maybe we have reached the point where Spurs just need to appoint someone in the next two weeks, even if it is the best of a bad bunch.
