Report: Feyenoord suggest they expect Arne Slot to leave amid Spurs links

Journalist Alan Nixon has revealed on his Patreon (as relayed by Football League World) that Feyenoord could now make a move for Blackburn Rovers head coach Jon Dahl Tomasson as a potential replacement for Arne Slot, amid Tottenham links.

If reports over the last 24 hours are to be believed, Arne Slot appears to be edging closer to replacing Antonio Conte at Tottenham.

The Daily Mail reported on Monday that Spurs have already held conversations with the Dutchman and are ready to make a formal approach to Feyenoord later this week, with the 44-year-old expected to inform the Eredivisie club of his desire to leave.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano also revealed on his YouTube channel yesterday that Slot has emerged as the clear front-runner for the Spurs job and that even sources close to the likes of Luis Enrique and Ruben Amorim believe that the Feyenoord boss is the ‘big favourite’ for the role.

If Nixon’s latest update is to be believed, the Eredivisie champions are already making plans to cover for the possibility that Slot would leave De Kuip.

The report states that the club have identified Tomasson as a potential replacement for Tottenham target, with Blackburn now bracing themselves for an approach.

Feyenoord would likely not be making an approach for a new manager if they had confidence that Slot would be willing to commit to a new contract.

It appears as if the Dutch club expect the 44-year-old to express his desire to seek a new challenge at Spurs this summer.
