Report: Fiorentina have received player plus cash offer for Vlahovic

Calciomercatoweb.it have revealed that Borussia Dortmund have made an opening offer for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, who has been heavily linked with a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur over recent weeks.

The speculation linking Vlahovic with a move to Tottenham has grown significantly since Antonio Conte arrived in North London.

Conte is alleged to have asked Tottenham to snap up the Serbian international when the transfer window reopens in January.

Reports have claimed that Spurs would be prepared to put €70m (£59.1m) on the table for the centre-forward.

Gianluca Di Marzio told TuttoMercatoWeb last week that Fiorentina would like to cash in on the 21-year-old when the transfer market reopens in January as the Serie A club do not expect the striker to renew his contract.

Meanwhile, Juventus are also thought to be on Vlahvoic’s trail, with some sources (like Nicolo Schira) stating that the Old Lady are the favourites to win the race for the striker’s signature.

However, if Calciomercatoweb’s latest update is to be believed, Tottenham could also face competition from Dortmund for the Viola star.

The report claims that the Bundesliga giants have offered €30m (£25.1m) plus striker Donyell Malen in exchange for Vlahovic.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given that Fiorentina’s asking price for Vlahovic is reported to be around the £60m mark, I do not see how £25m plus Malen would be enough for Dortmund to clinch the deal.  I have a feeling we are will see a lot more twists and turns in the Vlahovic saga before the transfer window reopens.
