Report: Fiorentina make Dusan Vlahovic winter transfer window decision

Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that Fiorentina have decided to keep hold of Dusan Vlahovic until the end of the season.

Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move for Dusan Vlahovic since Antonio Conte’s arrival at the club.

However, over recent weeks, reports indicated that Arsenal were the favourites to sign the 21-year-old, with the Gunners alleged to be willing to meet Fiorentina’s valuation of the striker (Daily Mail).

90min however have suggested that the Serbian is not convinced that a move to the Emirates would be the right next step for his career.

Di Marzio has revealed that while a number of teams hold a concrete interest in Vlahvoic, none have made a suitable offer so far, this month.

He explains that the bids which the Serie A club have received for the centre-forward are well below their valuation.

The Italian-based journalist added that the Viola have decided to hang on to Vlahovic until the summer transfer window despite the striker’s contract running out in the summer of 2023.

If true, this is bittersweet news for Spurs. While it means that Arsenal are unlikely to get Vlahvoic, it also probably means that Tottenham’s chances of signing the 21-year-old have taken a hit. The striker will likely have plenty more offers to choose from in the summer.
