TBR Football report that Son Heung-min is now ‘keen’ to finalise a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
A couple of days ago, we relayed a report from Football Insider which claimed that Spurs have already begun talks with Son over a new deal.
The report claimed that the Lilywhites were ready to offer their captain a significant pay rise to reflect his value to the side and that they were ‘confident’ that an agreement would be reached between the two parties.
Heung-min Son is keen to stay at Tottenham
TBR Football have now also backed up the claim about the contract talks between the two parties, revealing that the conversations between the Spurs captain and the club’s top brass began last year.
The outlet explains that the talks are expected to progress this summer, with Son said to be keen on penning a contract extension at the club.
The publication adds that while Saudi Pro League clubs remain interested in the 31-year-old, sources close to Tottenham ‘firmly believe’ that a new deal should be finalised this summer.

Every club in world football would want Son if he decided to leave Spurs. So it would be a big show of faith by the Tottenham man in Ange Postecoglou’s project if he were to commit to a new long-term deal.
