According to Sky Sports (Football Daily), Tottenham Hotspur are only looking to loan out Djed Spence and will not accept any deal that comes with an option to buy – with five Premier League clubs having shown interest.
If some reports over the last couple of days are to be believed, it is only a matter of time before Pedro Porro becomes Tottenham’s second signing of the January window (Fabrizio Romano).
Porro’s arrival will leave Antonio Conte with four right wing-backs, which is why it is unsurprising that the Tottenham head coach has allegedly given the green light for Spence to be loaned out.
Over the last few days, reports have indicated that the likes of Brentford, Leicester City (Football.London), Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Southampton, West Ham United, Middlesbrough and Burnley (90 min) have all expressed an interest in signing the right-back on a temporary deal.
Football Insider even claimed on Thursday that Brentford were in ‘advanced talks’ with Spurs to sign Spence on a loan deal with an option to buy.
However, this has now been contradicted by Sky Sports Football Daily, who claim that Tottenham will only consider straight loan deals for the England Under-21 international.
The report states that five Premier League clubs have expressed an interest in signing Spence, without naming the clubs in question, and it is explained that Spurs want to find a team where the right-back will get regular minutes.

Given the number of clubs who want Spence, Tottenham are in a strong bargaining position and can thus afford to demand certain guarantees regarding regular game time for the 22-year-old from interested clubs before giving the green light to a transfer.
